Judges will select finalists from four categories
  • Small business (less than 100 employees)
  • Mid-sized business (101 to 499 employees)
  • Large business (greater than 500 employees)
  • Government
Entries are judged by the quality and completeness of disaster preparations. The Challenge winner will be drawn at random from the four finalists during a special event at Onepartner's ATAC data center. The Challenge is open only to businesses, organizations and government entities with corporate headquarters in Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee (list of qualifying counties). All questionnaires are confidential and are reviewed only by the Challenge judges.

The Challenge Winner receives...
  • A year's cabinet rental in the OnePartner ATAC data center*. The ATAC is the only commercial Tier III (or higher) data center in the U.S. Located in Duffield, Virginia the ATAC is an ideal location for a disaster recovery or a primary hosting site.   • A year's offsite tape vaulting and rotation services from TCIM (Tri-Cities Information Management).   • Deliberare will provide a Disaster Recovery Gap Analysis for the winning organization. The Analysis includes two day’s site work and a written report. Deliberare’s Erik Rolf has organized multiple security, regulatory compliance, and systems engineering initiatives for multi-national corporations and has extensive experience in deploying diverse security technologies and controls. Erik has disaster recovery and business continuity planning experience with solutions from leading technology companies such as Microsoft, EMC, HP, Dell, Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper and Citrix. Erik is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

  • BCTI will provide $5,000 in training credits to the winning organization. This training can be used for any publically scheduled training classes held at BCTI’s Training Center in Johnson City, TN. BCTI is a Microsoft Gold Learning Solutions Partner and has provided professional computer training for over twenty years. Class offerings include applications training (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), technical training (2008 Server, A+, Exchange, SQL Server, etc.), and security focused training (Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures, Security+, etc.).
